COPPERAS COVE, TX — Both summer training for sports and summer school has officially begun in Copperas Cove and the district isn’t taking chances when it comes to safety.
From all the teachers wearing masks and eating lunch in the classroom to individual supply kits for the students and recess in the classroom.
Elementary schoolers and teachers in the ESL class at Fairview Miss Jewell Elementary couldn’t be happier to be back.
“It’s awesome. Obviously this is what we all wanted because of the fact that we miss kids. I mean, we wouldn’t be here if we didn’t enjoy having our kids around us. So, it’s exciting.” said Rita Alaniz, ESL bilingual coordinator for Copperas Cove ISD.
Summer school for ESL in Copperas cove is limited to students that are going into kindergarten and first grade.
This covers all 32 different languages spoken in Copperas Cove ISD.
