ODESSA, TX — Texas State Trooper Chuck Pryor was shot in the line of duty during the active shooter situation in Midland-Odessa on Saturday, Aug. 31.
Trooper Pryor was shot in the face, and had surgery on Saturday night to treat his injuries. "He is in serious, but stable condition at this time," said a friend of the family.
A fund has been set up for Trooper Pryor's family to assist with medical expenses and any other needs at this time.

On Tuesday, the Department of Public Safety accompanied Trooper Pryor's son to school. The Facebook post said they were showing support where it means the most.
