MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS — Buffalo Bills defensive tackle and former University of Houston player Ed Oliver Jr. was arrested in Montgomery County last night.

Police responded to reports of a reckless driver in a construction zone around 9 p.m., where they found a white pickup truck failing to maintain a lane.

Officers say Oliver had an open beer in between his legs and appeared nervous.

They arrested Oliver after a field sobriety test and transported him to Kingswood Hospital for a blood draw.

Officers also discovered a pistol during a search of his vehicle.

The football player has been charged with driving while under the influence, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
