BELLMEAD, TX — The change of weather is increasing the risk factors if you're driving on I-35.
Roads have already been tricky to navigate with all the construction and detours.
Brown Auto Repair owner Phillip Brown said with the inclement winter weather comes new safety concerns
"It's definitely a mess. It's for sure a mess round here, just driving around people are more agitated," said Brown.
He said he's had people stop by his shop after potholes and other construction issues caused damage to their cars.
The construction is making it difficult for Brown himself to travel to and from work.
"If it takes three hours to get here from a mile away, that's a deterrent for everybody," he said.
So a reminder to all drivers out there- if it's raining, turn your lights on. If it's cold and icy, slow down and be extra careful especially around construction zones.
