Waco Youth Center hiring for several positions

WACO, TX — The Waco Youth Center is hiring!

The long-term psychiatric residential treatment facility is looking to fill several positions.

WCY serves teens between the ages of 13 and 17 experiencing emotional and behavioral issues.

Requirements for employment include:

  • Valid Texas driver license
  • Must be 21-years-old or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Filled out application for employment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write and understand English to effectively communicate and carry out verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to learn client care, CPR, positive communication skills, and treatment, intervention and protection strategies
  • Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 55 pounds
  • Knowledge of patient care and treatment. How to assist in daily living skills is a plus.
  • Six months of experience in direct client care, mental health or criminal justice treatment center preferred

Entry level pay is $1,967.74 a month plus shift differential for evening and night shifts. Benefits are provided and promotional opportunities are available.
