WACO, TX — The Waco realtor community is coming together to hold fundraisers for a woman who was attacked by a dog while she showed a house.

The agent, Shannon Gamble, was showing a home on Hillcrest Dr. in December when she brought her clients to the home's exterior garage.

She was lifting the garage door open when two dogs ran out and began to attack her.

The fundraiser announcement said Gamble has dealt with financial and emotional turmoil since the attack due to loss of work and medical bills.

An all-you-can-eat pizza buffet fundraiser will take place at Bubba's 33 on March 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help Gamble.

Bubba's 33 will also donate 15% of all food sales on March 2 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. to the fundraiser if customers say they are there for "Realtor Benefit."

The attack occurred in December 2019 when a dog attacked Gamble's left thigh and left forearm. The dog also attacked her face, her laywer said.

The couple that was looking at the home with her was in their 60s. The man rushed to her aid, and the dog attacked him. He lost almost his entire ear in the incident.

Neighbors heard the screams and rushed to help.

The real estate agent was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Doctors said the dog bites had gone completely through her thigh. If the dog would have bit in the wrong area, it would have hit a vital artery and killed her, her lawyer told us.
