WACO, TX — A well-known Waco restaurant went out of its way to help a real estate agent after she was attacked by a dog.
Bubba's 33 held the fundraiser for Shannon Gamble. She was mauled by two dogs during a house showing last December. She was injured on her legs and arms.
A man who witnessed the attack tried to help, but lost one of his ears in the attack.
The restaurant manager says Gamble is a loyal customer, so helping was the only way to go.
"We want to make sure Shannon knows that she has somebody in her corner. I mean, what a tragic accident, and nobody should have to go through thta alone, and you know, the amount of work and effort it's going to take for her to overcome those injuries and to kind of rehab from that accident," the manager said.
Fifteen percent of Monday night's food sales went to Gamble.
