WACO, TX — Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man on North 21st Street in Waco Saturday night and then fled the scene.
Officers responded to 2910 North 21st Street at 11:30 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports of a man lying in the middle of the street bleeding.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim, 24-year-old Reginald Johnson, had been shot by someone he knew in his upper leg/pelvis area, according to Johnson and other witnesses.
"Officers later learned that the suspect and victim were having an argument and began to have a physical altercation, which lead to the shooting," said Sgt. Swanton, Waco PD.
Police say the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim was transported by AMR to a local hospital and his condition in not available at this time, said officials.
