The Waco Police Department was dispatched to the 3100 block of North 29th Street around 6:18 p.m.

When the first officers arrived on-scene, they located Young in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The first officer to her performed life saving measures on Young, including CPR.

She was soon transported to a local hospital by AMR, who assisted on scene, but succumbed to her injuries.

Young was pronounced dead a little after 9 PM last night at the hospital, according to police.

During the investigation, Waco PD detectives with the Special Crimes Division were able to figure out the suspect in this case.

The suspect in this shooting was identified, found and arrested last night at about 9 PM, according to police.

Michael Matthew Howard, 20, has been arrested and now charged with this murder along with an unrelated warrant that had been issued by the Mclennan County Sheriff's Office.

Michael was found as a passenger in a vehicle that was eventually stopped at the intersection of Gholson Rd and E. Lakeshore Dr., police said.
