Waco Police investigating after teenager shot at Villages apartments

WACO, TX — Waco Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager injured Sunday morning at the Villages apartments.

According to police, officers were sent to a shooting that had just occurred at 1100 N 6th St., also known as the Villages apartments.

Officers arrived shortly before 3 AM and located a 17-year-old male with several gunshot wounds.

There were also several bystanders around when officers arrived to the scene, but no one was able to give any additional information to officers, Waco Police said.

The male victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

His current condition is unknown at this time.

"At this point, no suspect information is available and this investigation is still ongoing," Waco Police Officer Bynum said.
