WACO, TX — Waco Police are investigating a Monday morning shooting that left one man with serious injuries.
Shortly before 1 AM, Waco PD officers responded to a shooting that just occurred in the 1800 blk of S 25th Street.
As officers arrived on scene, they located a male with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
That male was quickly transported to a local hospital where he immediately began receiving medical care for the serious injury that he sustained.
As officers continued their investigation, they learned that multiple people entered the victims home.
At one point, the male victim attempted to flee from a room in the house when he was shot by an unknown male suspect.
Investigators are currently working to identify a motive in the shooting.
At the time, there were two juveniles present in the home, neither of which were injured, according to police.
Waco PD Victim Services, Waco PD Crime Scene Unit, Waco Fire, and AMR all responded to the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
