WACO, TX — The Waco Police Department is set to participate in the DEA Drug Take-Back Initiative.

The event will run from the morning of Friday, October 25 through the morning of Monday, October 28.

Participants will be able to leave unwanted and/or expired prescription medication in a locked box located in the lobby of the Waco Police Department at 3115 Pine Avenue.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal for medications as opposed to environmentally unsafe flushing, trashing, or other unsafe methods of disposal.

The service is entirely free and anonymous, no questions asked. Waco police does request that no needles, inhalers, aerosol cans, hydrogen peroxide, or thermometers are brought in during the initiative.
