WACO, TX — 25 News' very own Ann Harder was recognized at Tuesday night's city council meeting.
Waco Mayor Kyle Deaver declared Feb. 18 as Ann Harder Day during the meeting. Ann will be retiring next Friday.
Her retirement comes during her 25th year at 25 News.
Ann Harder will also be honored during a second Ann Harder Day on Feb. 25.

Ann Harder KXXV is an award-winning journalist and we recognize her many achievements and contributions both as a journalist and community leader. Among her honors, Ann has been given the Junior League of Waco Eva Award for excellence in volunteering; Distinguished Alumni of the Waco ISD; and the 2005 National Media Person of the Year for the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Most recently, Baylor University honored her as an inaugural recipient of the School of Music 's Solid Gold Neighbor Program. We commend Ann Harder for an amazing career and extend best wishes for a happy retirement.
