WACO, TX — Waco ISD's annual summer food program will offer free meals to children this summer.
The annual Summer Food Service Program, which provides free breakfasts and lunches to any child ages 1-18, aims to fill the void left by summer vacation.
The program began in 1994, and later expanded into city locations in 1995.
Waco ISD will sponsor SFSP with the goal to combat hunger during summer vacation.
Any child between the ages of 1-18 can participate in the summer 2019 program by showing up at one of the campus, community or mobile sites.
Sites will be open all summer from June 3 - Aug. 14.
Meals will not be served before or after the scheduled serving times, and meal dates are subject to change.
