WACO, TX — The Waco Fire Department is warning drivers to pay attention to the road after an engine was struck by a distracted driver.
Officials said Engine 5 was hit by a distracted driver while providing "blocking" for another crew working an MVC at S. I-35 near 4th Street.
They said there were no injuries, however, they are asking drivers to pay attention near accident scenes.
"Working on the highway is dangerous enough for responders," the tweet said.
