WACO, TX — The Waco Fire Department responded to a call early Sunday of a person jumping or falling into the Brazos River from a train bridge.

Officials said the train engineer thought he hit someone or saw someone jump from the bridge.

Multiple units responded to the scene near the area of Jackson Avenue and South University Parks Drive.

After searching the water and river banks for over two hours, authorities suspended the search when nothing was found, said a spokesperson for the Waco Fire Department.

AMR also responded to the scene.
