WACO, TX — Firefighters were able to quickly put out a fire at the Abbey Glenn Apartments Wednesday night.

The Waco Fire Department says crews were called out to the complex, located at 700 South 4th Street, around 8:23 p.m. when a witness saw flames from the roof.

Firefights entered one unit and were able to quickly put out the flames.

No one was home at the time of the fire. The apartment complex manager told Waco Fire the residents were able to stay in a different unit.

At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.
