Victim involved in Waco motorcycle crash dies

WACO, TX — The victim who suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash on Tuesday has died.

Police said 49 year old Clifton Woods, from Hondo-Medina, died from his injuries on Wednesday.

Waco police said about 7:15 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle and motorcycle crash at Highway 84 and Highway 6.

Callers said said a victim was lying on the ground with head injuries.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Woods being tended to by AMR for severe head injuries. Woods was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers spoke with a woman that was riding with Woods on a separate motorcycle. She said Woods lost control of the motorcycle as they were entering the ramp-once to head east on highway 84, and crashed his motorcycle.

Woods was not wearing a helmet.

An investigation is ongoing.
