Help is on the way for healthcare providers at the front line of the coronavirus pandemic thanks to Hewitt Veterinary Hospital.
The veterinarians are donating N95 masks along with personal protection equipment from Hillcrest Hospital to first reponders. They say they are more than happy to sacrifice their materials to ensure medical professionals have everything they need to help save lives.
"Well we're all in this together. Everybody in the community is working together, and I think a veterinarian medicine is an extension of human medicine. We help keep animals safe and, in turn, keep people safe, so everybody's doing what they can," said Dr. Kirstin Dodson of Hewitt Veterinary Hospital.
The veterinary hospital is currently wearing reusable masks and minimizing their personal protection equipment supply usage in order to preserve the much needed items for first responders.
