WACO, TX — Beginning on Thursday, crews will work on demolishing the remaining portions of the old elevated ramp from northbound I-35 to northbound BUS 77.

Over the next two weeks, the ramp will be taken down in sections, and that requires some lane closures.

Starting on Thursday through Saturday morning, the southbound BUS 77 frontage road will be closed from the I-35 frontage road to Taylor Street. The exit ramp before I-35 and the north-to-south U-turn near BUS 77 interchange will also be closed.

The next section, from Thursday through June 13, will close the southbound BUS 77 mainlanes from just south of US 84 to Taylor Street. On Saturday, westbound BUS 77 mainlanes are expected to be closed from the exit ramp just before I-35.

From June 10-22, BUS 77 northbound frontage road will be closed from Taylor Street to I-35. The north-to-south U-turn at US 84 will be closed for the first four nights.

From June 14-19, the northbound I-35 frontage road will close from Taylor Street to BUS 77 and the southbound I-35 frontage road will also be closed at BUS 77.

All closures will start at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

TxDOT said the work is planned weather permitting.
