WACO, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has announced upcoming work for the My35 Waco Project.

TxDOT will be working on the eastbound lanes of US 84 from the southbound I-35 frontage road to Bellmead Drive as early as Wednesday night, March 4.

This work is anticipated to occur nightly through Saturday, March 7 and will require full, overnight closures of the eastbound US 84 lanes through this section. Eastbound traffic will need to use the southbound frontage road and BUS 77 to cross under I-35.

Crews are preparing to shift all I-35 mainlane traffic from N Loop 340 to US 84 to the east side of the interstate as early as Tuesday, March 10.

This is the last section of the interstate within the project limits that needs to be shifted and, once complete, will allow crews to reconstruct and expand all southbound mainlanes from N Loop 340 to 12th Street.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction, and this configuration is anticipated to be in place until mid-2021.

TxDOT says to please follow all signage and watch for crews in the right of way.
