WACO, TX — Tim McGraw's visit to Waco this summer has been canceled, according to Magnolia's spokesperson.

The reason for the cancellation is unknown at this time.

The country music superstar had planned to be at the Magnolia Market and Silos as part of his seven-city tour to promote his upcoming book. This was to be the only stop in Texas.

McGraw, accompanied by Pulitzer-Prize winner Jon Meacham planned to speak on their book “Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest and the Music that Made a Nation.”

The book is described as a celebration of America and the music that has inspired its citizens.

On June 21, McGraw and Meacham had planned to give an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at what went into creating the book and their friendship as they combine their different perspectives as writer and artist to create a unique view of the role music has played in uniting and shaping the nation.

Presales for the tour began on April 17 at 12 p.m.
