HEWITT, TX — Three pets were killed after they sustained too much smoke when a fire broke out at a home in Hewitt.
The Hewitt Fire Department said the fire was in the kitchen and attic area on Tuesday, causing the home to have heavy smoke damage.
No one was in the home during the fire. The family's three pets were unable to escape and died from too much smoke.
