MCLENNAN COUNTY — The Metropolitan Planning Organization is looking ahead and working on transportation projects to maintain and improve McLennan County.

"It's a comprehensive look at the next 25 years trying to identify what our transportation needs are going to be then, and what projects can we afford that will do the best job of addressing those needs," Evilia said.

Some of those projects include making sure Loop 340 has 4 lanes the entire way.

"There are a lot of needs that we think we can get after, number one our mobility project is the mall to mall projects and other suburban type projects," Evilia said.

Two meetings will take place this week inviting the community to take a look a the transportation plans and voice their opinion or concern.

"Give folks the opportunity to give us some feedback. Did we get it right, did we miss the mark, things that they think are a problem," Evilia said.
