MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX — The McLennan County Sheriff's Office rescued two women on Thursday after raiding a massage parlor on Hewitt Dr.
McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said the two women were victims of human trafficking. UnBound and Mandarin interpreters assisted in their rescue.
No arrests have been made yet after the raid. The massage parlor, Rose Spa, is located at 1201 Hewitt Dr.
McNamara said they received a tip about the establishment weeks ago and starting investigating. He emphasized how important citizen tips have been in the past, and he said he is proud to be a part of a community that reports wrongdoing.
He said the sheriff's office is working towards an arrest.
"Do they not get the message?" he said. "Have they not heard about us?"
The sheriff's office has led more than five multiple massage parlor raids since 2018. Their investigations have lead to over 50 arrests.
