Road closures expected for Silo District Marathon

WACO, TX — Drivers through Waco should expect some road closures at the end of the month.

The Magnolia Silo District Marathon is taking place on Sunday, April 28. The race runs through most of downtown Waco, Cameron Park and the Baylor University Campus.

  • Downtown: Webster Avenue will be closed 6:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Downtown: Austin Avenue will be closed 8:30 a.m. to 2: p.m.
  • Baylor University streets: 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  • North East Riverside: 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  • CarverCedar Ridge: 6:45 a.m. to 10:45 p.m.
  • Landon Branch: 8:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Dean Highland: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Sanger Heights/Brook Oaks: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m

The marathon and half marathon begin at 7 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m.

The marathon and half-marathon will begin and end in front of the Magnolia Silos. The 5K will begin the Brazos River at 3rd Street and Mary Avenue.

There is a $150 registration fee for the full marathon, $135 for the half marathon and $45 for the 5K.
