---------------

A second threat has surfaced hours after an original threat was made against Riesel High School.

The district says they were made aware of a second Snapchat post regarding violence towards the Riesel Independent School District.

The district says they immediately notified the law enforcement agencies conducting the investigation.

An earlier anonymous school threat was made against Riesel High School Sunday.

The original threat was reported to law enforcement and the district is fully cooperating with officials as they investigate the situation.

The district has put additional safety measures in place to increase security at the high school in the coming days.

A message was sent to parents regarding the incident:

"We wanted to thank you for your patience today as we took the additional safety measures. At this time, all students are in class and we have begun our school day. Thanks again for your patience. The safety of our students will always be our primary concern."

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the district immediately.
