WACO, TX — A police chase through Waco ended in a crash into a light post and a power outage.
The Waco Police Department says officers attempted to pull over a driver for reckless driving when the driver wouldn't stop.
The pursuit lasted for almost an hour and ended when the driver crashed into a light post in an alley in the area of 22nd Street and Lasker.
Power was lost for homes on the block.
The driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one else was hurt. He was arrested for evading police and reckless driving.
