Police: 24-year-old arrested, charged in December murder

The Waco Police Department said they have arrested and charged a man with the murder of Eric Williams.

Williams, 28, was shot and killed at the Costa Esmeralda Apartments on Dec. 29.

The suspect, 24-year-old Donald Palmer of Waco, was arrested on Thursday morning.

He was arrested by the US Marshal Lone Star Task Force.

In December 2019, the Waco Police Department said that officers responded to a shooting at 1516 Gurley Lane.

They said they received a call that someone had been shot and was lying in the parking lot at the Costa Esmerelda Apartments.

Upon arrival, officers found a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. The victim, a 28-year-old, identified as Williams, lived in the complex. It was reported the victim was involved in an argument with 2 other men and was shot.
