Man dead after shooting during Halloween party at Waco apartment complex

WACO, TX — The Waco Police Department said that a 22-year-old man is dead after a shooting at the Grove Apartment complex on Halloween.

Another man was shot, but he has been released from the hospital.

Police said the victims were at a party being held at the apartment complex. Neither victim were actual residents of the apartment.

They said that details are limited, but the individuals were involved in a verbal disturbance that turned deadly when one person started shooting.

The man killed in the shooting has been identified by his family as Dairse Holder

The investigation is ongoing.

In a statement to 25 News, The Grove at Waco management team said thhey are working with law enforcmenet and working to keep residents up to date on the situation.
