WACO, TX — Agencies responded to a crash on Highway 77 over La Salle in Waco on Saturday around 11:30 a.m.
A truck crashed and went through the guardrail and off the bridge, said Waco Fire Department spokesperson. Initial reports were that the truck had rolled off the bridge.
According to officials, the driver did not have to be transported to the hospital.
Roads were blocked off just before the Ferrell center as crews worked to clear the wreck, according to reports.
The guardrail is still down where the crashed occurred, and there is a lot of debris from chunks of concrete that came off during the crash.
TxDOT will be headed to the scene to assess the damages, clear the concrete in the roadway and repair the guardrail.
