WACO, TX — An officer was taken to a hospital after a chase Friday afternoon.
Waco police said the incident happened at 63rd and Bosque Avenue. Police said a carjacking suspect was arrested but a passenger in the vehicle took off.
An officer suffered a knee injury during the chase. A dog in the backyard of a home in the area attacked Waco police's K-9 and was shot.
The officer was taken to the hospital and the dog taken to a local veterinarian. All other officers and K-9s were uninjured.
Police are still searching for the passenger at this time.
