MEXIA, TX — The Mexia Police Department said they are investigating an incident at a local restaurant.
They said that on Monday June 8, at 9:21 p.m., Mexia Police Officers were dispatched to the Taqueria Mexicano Grille located at 838 North Highway 171 in Mexia, in reference to a man displaying a firearm and causing a disturbance.
The unidentified subject had left the restaurant prior to the arrival of officers.
At the scene, officers were able to make contact with a 21-year-old man who was identified as the victim.
The victim advised that he had been confronted by another customer at the restaurant who displayed a firearm and verbally accosted him. Police
Police said they then proceeded to take additional statements from multiple witnesses.
This case has been referred to the Mexia Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and the investigation is ongoing.
