Baylor University is mourning the loss of a member of the Aramark/Baylor Facility Services grounds team.

57-year-old Jamie Soto died Sunday due to complications from COVID-19.

He worked for Aramark/Baylor Facility Services for six years.

"Jaime Soto was a beloved employee who took care of Aramark Grounds for six years," said Mandie Storer, grounds manager for Aramark/Baylor Facility Services. "He was passionate about Baylor and his role in keeping it looking sharp. Jaime never missed a day, and would always find ways to strengthen his team. In his spare time he loved listening to music and dancing with his family. We hope that his family finds peace through this very difficult time."

He is survived by his wife, Olga, his children Jaime and David, his grandson, Noah, and his brothers, as well as extended family members and friends.

Soto's funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hawkins Family Funeral Home in Fort Worth. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, February 13 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.
