MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX — McLennan County Judge Scott Felton has issued a Disaster Declaration for McLennan County due to a "serious threat" from the winter storm.

"After visiting with area city managers, law enforcement, emergency management officials and others, it is clear that our community is facing a serious threat from this winter storm," McLennan County Judge Felton said.

"Weather related damage is already occurring in our community and our current weather situation is deteriorating. Conditions are expected to worsen over the next several days, with unbearably cold temperatures settling in and more wintry precipitation expected. Road conditions are already treacherous."

"Due to this imminent weather threat, I have issued the attached Disaster Declaration for McLennan County, effective today, February 14, 2021."

"Please stay home and off the roads and take steps to conserve electricity," Judge Felton said.
