HEWITT, TX — The Mayor of Hewitt has issued an order for commercial entities requiring all employees and visitors wear a mask.
Mayor Charles Turner issued the order effective at 12:01 p.m. on June 21.
Commercial entities in the City of Hewitt providing goods or services directly to the public must develop and implement a health and safety policy. That policy must require, at minimum, that every employee or visitor to the commercial entity's business premises or other facilities wear a face covering when in an undivided room or area.
Each business entity must create and post a Health and Safety Policy by 12:01 A.M. on June 25, 2020. Failure to do so may result in a fine not to exceed $1,000.
No civil or criminal penalty will be imposed on individuals for failure to wear a face covering.
