WACO, TX — The Waco Police Department was called out after a man's body was discovered in a wooded area along railroad tracks.
Waco PD says shortly before 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, officers received a call about a man in the wooded area southwest of Walmart on Franklin along the railroad tracks.
The 47-year-old man, later identified as David Gregory Black, was discovered by a homeless man in the area. He was pronounced dead on-scene and an autopsy was ordered by Judge Peterson.
Waco PD says Black was homeless.
An investigation is ongoing. Waco PD says it is unknown at this time if foul play was involved.
