Man wanted for allegedly robbing Bellmead bank

BELLMEAD, TX — The Bellmead Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man after he allegedly told a bank clerk he had a gun and robbed the bank.

Bellmead PD says around 3:14 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, officers responded to a robbery at the Compass Bank, located in the 4000 block of Bellmead Drive.

Police say a man entered the bank and told the clerk he had a weapon and was there for a robbery. He then fled in a silver sedan, possibly a Kia.

The suspect is described as a man last seen wearing a straw hat, khaki shirt with patches, khaki cargo-style pants, and black shoes.

Police say no one was injured during the robbery.

The incident is still under investigation, and the amount of money stolen by the suspect is currently unknown. The FBI is assisting with the investigation.
