LACY LAKEVIEW, TX — Weapons and ammunition were among several items found after Lacy Lakeview police officers confronted a man early Tuesday.
Lacy Lakeview police say around 1:30 AM, a citizen called to report a suspicious person looking into cars in their neighborhood.
Officers saw a young man sit up in the rear seat of a vehicle behind the unoccupied driver position.
The man said he did not have any identification but gave officers his name and date of birth.
Police asked the man to get out of the vehicle and while trying to ask him questions, he ran away.
Weapons, ammunition, six cell phones and man’s Texas Driver’s License were found in the vehicle.
According to police, the man already had four outstanding warrants for his arrest when this incident began.
"If this young man would like to get his property back, please call Officer Hawkins," Lacy Lakeview PD said on Facebook. "There are a few things we will need to discuss."
