BELLMEAD, TX — The Bellmead Police Department said that a man was arrested for beating a woman on Sunday.
Police said that they received a call that a woman was heard screaming for help at a hotel located in the 700 block of north I-35 in Bellmead.
Officers said they arrived on scene and were met by a 40-year-old man, Harold Ingalls. Police saw that a 25-year-old woman was in the hotel room with injuries to her head and arms from where Ingalls has hit, kicked and bit her. The victim told police that he threatened her with a knife during the assault.
Ingalls was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two warrants out of Freestone County for assault causes bodily injury family violence and interference with emergency assistance.
