BELLMEAD, TX — La Vega Independent School District has announced Dave Campbell will be the first inductee into their inaugural Hall of Fame.
In a press release, the district announced "the beginning of a new tradition," in order to honor alumni, staff and friends of the district who have achieved success in their work.
La Vega graduate Dave Campbell, also known as Mr. Texas Football, will be the first inductee.
Campbell's accomplishments have also led to the creation of the Dave Campbell Award for Excellence. Former educator George Dixon will be the first recipient for his work with the community.
