WACO, TX — The Humane Society of Central Texas says they desperately need to clear 24 cages after receiving a large number of animals over the past couple of weeks.
According to the Humane Society, they have had huge intake numbers in the past couple of weeks. They now need to clear 24 cages.
Dogs and cats are free to adopt or foster today. Employees will be at the shelter past closing time in order to find homes for the animals.
If people are looking to foster an animal, they will be sent home with dog food. The Humane Society says they will also cover any medical costs the dog needs.
Those interested in adopting or fostering do not need to live in Central Texas.
Dogs and cats will also be free tomorrow.
The Humane Society of Central Texas is located at 2032 Circle Road in Waco.
