HEWITT, TX — The Hewitt Police Department has a new department kitty, "Pawfficer Sherlock."
According to a post on Chief Devlin's LinkedIn, Mr. Sherlock has done a lot for the department in just a short amount of time.
Pawfficer Sherlock was found by the department when animal control picked him up, said Hewitt police in a Facebook post.
After the kitty became a big help to the department after stressful calls, the chief agreed to let "Pawfficer Sherlock" stay on as an official member of the team.
