The Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center will receive a $3,974,241.00 federal grant for the Linchpin of Care CCBHC Expansion Program, according to U.S. Senator John Cornyn.
The grant is to advance mental and behavioral health in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Sen. Cornyn announced.
“With the ongoing mental health challenges brought on by COVID-19, resources for mental health and substance abuse treatment providers cannot fall by the wayside,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I applaud this investment in Waco residents’ health and I will continue supporting efforts to strengthen these critical services.”
The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
