WACO, TX — A rock-throwing incident has shut down an exhibit at the Cameron Park Zoo Friday.
According to zoo officials, a first-grader visiting from College Station on Thursday had thrown a rock at the caiman alligator exhibit, shattering the safety glass.
The glass did not break off, but will need to be replaced before the exhibit can reopen.
There was no danger to the animal or general public.
The exhibit will remain closed until the glass is replaced.
