BELLMEAD, TX — A driver will be charged with a DWI after a crash in Bellmead on Friday.
DPS officials said at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Friday, a crash happened on I-35 near mile marker 338 in Bellmead. DPS troopers responded to the scene.
An initial investigation showed a Dodge van driving erratically and then crashed into the rear of a Ford SUV. The driver and passenger of the Ford were transported to Baylor Scott and White in Waco to be treated for a possible injury.
The driver of the Dodge was found to be intoxicated and will be charged with a misdemeanor DWI.
All lanes of traffic are now open.
The investigation is still active.
