MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety said gave an update to an auto-pedestrian crash over the weekend.
On Saturday, May 23, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to an auto-pedestrian crash on Buster Chatman Road near Angle Lane, in Elm Mott.
A Ford Explorer traveling southwest on Buster Chatman Road struck two pedestrians.
Both pedestrians were transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The initial belief was that the crash was a possible hit and run event. Through further investigation, it has been determined this crash was not a hit and run, and the driver returned to the scene.
As a result of the investigation, no charges will be filed.
