WACO, TX — Another Central Texas school is switching to remote learning after someone tested positive for COVID-19.

Connally Elementary School is switching to remote learning for the rest of the week after "a student, staff member or visitor" was on campus who tested positive for COVID-19.

Remote learning will begin after students get released at 3:30 pm today and will end the Monday after Thanksgiving, November 30th.

Parents are allowed to pick up their child earlier than normal dismissal time.

For privacy reasons, the school will not be releasing the name of the individual but individuals who may have come in close contact will be contacted.

All areas on campus that were exposed to the individual will be closed off and will be cleaned according to District protocol.
