WACO, TX — The staff at Ascension Providence lined the halls to celebrate the first ICU COVID-19 patient discharged from the hospital.
The staff called a "Code Sunshine" and played "Walking on Sunshine" as the patient was led down the hall to the front door.
Ascension Providence said it is grateful for moments like this.
McLennan County officials reported 66 coronavirus cases as of April 9.
