WACO, TX — The City of Waco is voting whether or not grant a lease abatement to Hawaiian Falls to allow them to build a new playscape.
The playscape will be constructed at the waterpark's expense, but the lease abatement will be for a seven-year period.
The money will be invested into a new 10,000 square foot play structure at the park that will include 12 water slides.
The slide complex is to be completed for the upcoming season. Additionally, several sections with in the waterpark agreement will be amended to better protect the city and allow the city to participate in more economic development ventures.
